Sandgrund Lars Lerin

The historic dance restaurant Sandgrund has become home to the artist Lars Lerin’s paintings.

The popular artist has received inquiries from many quarters, but took a liking to the Sandgrunds building, which is located in the middle of a cultural strip, close to the center and in a beautiful natural environment. The art gallery is next to the Värmlands Museum and the Sandgrundsparken and here there is a shop with a range of postcards, posters and books that can only be found at the art gallery. There is also a café that is open every day when the art gallery is open and in summer an outdoor terrace with a beautiful view of the Klarälven.

Lars Lerin was born in 1954 in Munkfors. He studied at Gerlesborgsskolan 1974–75 and at Valand Academy of Art in Gothenburg 1980–84. Lars Lerin is considered one of the Nordic region’s foremost watercolorists and has exhibited in both collective and individual exhibitions at galleries and museums in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, France, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Norway, Germany, the USA.
